(‘Amsterdam Pan - the Dutch art and antiques fair now calls itself ‘contemporary.’ You may count on a very wide range of objects on offer, with a focus on design, juwelery, paintings and earthenware. Delft remains a strongpoint at the fair and the stand of Aronson Antiquairs is always a discovery. There you will find a diversity of Dutch Delftware, often by means of rare examples, like this time a blue and white figure of Atlas (early 18th century, see photo) of which only 3 examples are known. We recommend it.)

‘A passion for Dutch Delftware, and 128 years of expertise

Aronson, the fifth-generation owner of the company, inherited his passion for his profession from his father but has given this old business a modern twist rarely seen in the antique business, with e-commerce (customers can buy objects directly from the gallery’s Web site); high-tech digital design, layout and printing of catalogues; and an environmentally conscious art-fair stand with LED lighting that drastically reduces electricity consumption.’

‘First “green” stand at TEFAF ... Sustainability is a hot topic these days. TEFAF also wants to play its part in efforts to protect the planet and above all promote the careful use of energy resources. Antiques dealer Robert Aronson from Amsterdam will have a “green” stand at the fair. ... This year, Aronson will be using LED lighting in the display cabinets instead of the usual halogen lamps. The 54 cabinets will have 1300 LED lamps. Although that is far more than the number of halogen lamps he previously used in each cabinet, Aronson will use 80% less energy with the LED lamps. “The LED lamps also generate less heat, so the air conditioning for the stand can be turned down,” Aronson explained. ...’
